River Bottom Urchin

Delightfully colorful River Bottom Urchins are about the size of a plum.  Hand-knit with acrylic yarn and safety-back acrylic eyes.  Hand-wash and allow to air dry.
The Story:
Once Upon A Time:
there was a secret forest.  And within this forest was a very old, and very deep river.  And within this river, lived very mysterious and magical creatures, including River Bottom Urchins.  Beloved by all within the Forest, River Bottom Urchins are incredibly important to travelers who have found their way into the forest, because River Bottom Urchins not only guide seekers of truth and beauty to hear the songs of the rare fluvial mermaids, but also help to guide those who have become lost to cross the river at its shallowest and calmest places, to safely guide explorers back to the paths. 
Sometimes, River Bottom Urchins bond with travelers they meet, and decide to leave their watery world to live with them.  If you are lucky enough to adopt an urchin, they are lovingly loyal companions; and at night will guide you to peaceful, and sometimes adventurous dreams.
Their markings are cool shades of teals and pinks,  or warm corals and pinks.  And some have black eyes, while others have eyes of different colors.
